Acquisitions
Help Redwood Grow Across Suburban America
Sell Land to Build Apartment NeighborhoodsThe beauty of working with Redwood along the life cycle of an apartment rental neighborhood is that at any point in the process, Redwood manages things. At the very beginning of the research phase for the perfect home for a new Redwood Neighborhood, our in-house Acquisitions Department leads the charge.
The Redwood
Acquistions Advantage
Redwood’s Acquisitions Department works with communities throughout suburban America to find the right fit for our remarkable neighborhoods. We choose locations that not only have the amount of land we need, but will provide our residents with a convenient home base when they move in. Many of our Redwood Neighborhoods are located under an hour from a metro area and close to the highway, so our residents can benefit from the peace and quiet of the suburbs without giving up all the perks of living within driving distance to a city.
What Redwood Looks
for in a Land Sale
Each Redwood Neighborhood we build has to meet certain specifications. When we look for a piece of land, we make sure it meets the following standards:
- It’s in a suburban location, and it’s between 13-60 acres
- We prefer sites with utilities available, but we will consider off-site work if it’s reflected in the purchase price
- The land must be zoned (or be able to be rezoned) for:
- Medium density multi-family
- Medium density attached single family
- Other zoning classification allowing 6-8 units per acre
Why Municipalities Love Redwood
Redwood is committed to providing an apartment home to any resident looking for an easily accessible, upscale apartment neighborhood accentuating a peaceful, idyllic, comfortable and maintenance-free living experience. Redwood Neighborhoods not only look like a neighborhood of single-family homes to the outside observer, our on-site teams work hard to truly become part of their community. From creating relationships with small businesses to participating in community events, Redwood and its residents are a natural fit for suburban municipalities.
Where We’re Going Next
At Redwood, we always have our eyes set on the future of apartment rental living. As we continue to look toward where the next Redwood Neighborhood will be built, we are focused on a few new states and metro areas, but we are open to discussing the possibilities of Redwood expanding in new locations.
Take a look at where we’re going next.
